Este es otro edificio emblematico de la ciudad, pues aparte de ser una de las estructuras mas visibles de la ciudad (pues es la estructura mas alta de la ciudad), es un punto de visita turistico obligado, pues esta estructura se encuentra construida sobre el ultimo nivel de uno de los centros comercial de la cadena Westfield, y en la cima de esta estructura se encuentra una plataforma colgate de vidrio desde la cual se puede divisar la ciudad entera, otra caracteristica de esta estructura es que alli se ubica uno de los mejores restaurantes de la ciudad y este rota sobre su propio eje para que la gente que va alli a comer puedan divisar la ciudad completa durante su visita.

this is another emblematic building of the city, aside of being one fo the most visible structures of the city ('cause it's the most tallest structure of the city), in a obligate touristic place, because this structure is built over the last level of a westfield's shopping centre, and on the top of this structure there is a pendant glass sidewalk where you can see the whole city, other characteristic of this structure is that there is placed on of the best sydney's restaurant and this restaurant rotate by its own axis so the people that are there eating can see the whole city in their visit.

Este es uno de los edificios mas conmemorativos de la ciudad, edificado en honor a la reina Victoria de Inglaterra cuya estatua se encuentra en el centro de la fachada del edificio. Actualemnte en su interior se encuentra un centro comercial (arcade como son conocidos en sydney).

This is one of the city's most commemorative buildings, built in honor of the England Queen Victoria who statue is in the centre of the building fachey. Actually in its inside there is a shopping centre (arcade, like is known in sydney).

HYDE PARK

Hyde park, ese es el nombre del parque central de sydney, es un inmenso parque contiguo al CBD (distrito de comercio y negocios de sydney), el parque tiene dos alas (norte y sur) donde encontramos diversos monumentos entre ellos ANZAC MEMORIAL (monumento a las soldados caidos en guerras, es el monumento que parace una especie de edificio) y el monumento al captian Cook (el conqusitador de australia). Tambien encontre una inmensa y hermosa catedral catolica aunque nunca pude entrar pues solo la abren los domingos.

Hyde park, that's the name of the Sydney's central park, is a huge park next to teh CBD (sydney's commerce and bussiness district), the park has to wings (north and south) where you can find too many monuments like ANZAC MEMORIAL (is a monument that remember the soldiers that died in wars, it's the monument that looks like a building) adn the captain cook's statue (The Australia's conquest). Also i found a huge and beautiful catholic cathedral but i couldn't see it inside because it is open only on sunday.

BONDI BEACH (PLAYA BONDI)

Cuando tu vas a realizar un dia de playa aqui en sydney, es recomendable el uso de protector solar CFC 30 (si desea un bronceado) o superior, ya que la radiacion uv en el verano en esta parte del mundo es bastante fuerte. Tambien es recomendable que cumplan con las recomendaciones hechas por los salvavidas, de nadar entre las banderas, ya que como es bien conocido australia tiene una gran cantidad de tiburones en sus playas y mares y es mejor prevenir.

When you going to have a beach day here in sydney, i recommend the use of sun block CF30 (if you want a bronzed) or highest, bcause the uv radiation in summer in this part of the world is pretty hard. Also i recommend that you fulfill the recommendations that the life-guards made to you, like, swin between the flags, because, as is well known, australia has a big amount of shakrs in its beaches and seas and it's better be care.

Hoy fui a Bondi Beach, la cual es la playa mas famosa de sydney, por consiguiente la mas llena de gente, me sorprendio ver lo cristalina y limpia que es el agua del mar aqui en sydney, tambien sus bellas arenas blancas lo que las hace mas hermosas aun. Un unico problema, el agua tan fria, y aunque en el ambiente habian unos 35 -40 grados centigrados el agua del mar estaba a 5 grados centigrados.
Today I went to Bondi Beach, which is the Sydney's most famous beach, by the way is full of people, i was surprised whe i saw the sea water of sydney, is clean and clear, also its beautiful white sands that made the beaches even more beautiful. The only problem with them, is the cold water, and although in the air the temperature was 35 - 40 degrees, the temperature of the sea water was 5 degrees.

Como ven esta serie de fotografias es la continuacion de la anterior entrada, tan solo, con una ubicacion diferente, aqui me encuentro en inmediaciones del embarcadero de pasajeros internacionales (puerto de cruceros) contiguo al sydney harbour bridge, que es considerado el puente de arco hecho en acero mas largo del mundo, este puente es la via central (de 3 vias) que unen al norte de sydney con el sur.

As you seen, this is the continue of the photo series of the last publciation, but, in a different location, here I'm at the international paddages wharf (cruises wharf) nest to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, that is considered the longgest steel arch bridge of the world, this bridge is the central way (of 3 ways) that unit the sydney noth side and the south side.

Finalmente conoci la opera house de sydney, para mi el edifico mas hermoso del mundo, es inmenso y para que se enteren el techo no es blanco es beige jejjeje, el sitio vive lleno de turistas y desde ahi se peude ver el harbour bridge y si va el 31 de dic puedes ver los fuegos artificales gratis.

Finally i knew tha sydney opera house, for me the most beautiful building in the world, the building is huge and if you didn't know the cealing of the building is beige not white jaja, the place is full of tourist all the time and from there you can see the harbour bridge and if you go there on december 31st you can see the fireworks from here and the entry is free

Eso es un possum, este animalito viene todos los dias a visitarnos en busca de comida, y parece un canguro pues tiene una bolsa en su estomago y hay tiene un bebe possum, es de lo mas extrano que he visto en este pais.

That is a possum, this little animal come everydays to visit us trying to find some food, this animal look like a cangaroo because has a stomage bag and there is a baby possum inside, is the most extrange thing that i seen in this country.

Este es el video realizado por el canal 10 de sydney, pues fueron uno de los organizadores del evento, aqui pueden ver la dimension de las 6 zonas donde estaban los puntos de los fireworks. Se estima que cerca de 2 millones de personas se encontraban en ese momento a lo largo y ancho del harbour y otros 2 millones mas en los diferentes edificios cercanos al harbour de sydney. Eso si contar los mas de 20 millones de televidentes y los 4 millones de turistas que habian en la ciudad pues en bondi beach habia otra celebracion de ano nuevo.

This is the video that the channel 10 of syndey made , because that channel was one of the organizers of that event, in this video you can see the dimension of the 6 areas where were the fireworks point. It's considered that near to 2 milliom people were in that moment at the harbour of sydney and another 2 milliom more in the diferents buildings near to the sydney harbour. Thats without count the 20 million of tv viewers and the 4 million of tourists that there were at the city that day because at boindi beach there wars another new year celebration.

Les cuento que despues de 15 horas de andar viajando por fin llegue a Buenos Aires, llegue a las 3:30 am hora de Buenos Aires y en este instante son las 5:32 am, lo mas bueno de todo es que estoy RECANSADO me duele todo y ya los aviones me saben a MIERCOLES jajajajja. Y a parte de todo me toca quedarme aqui en Buenos Aires hasta las 11 pm osea 20 horas metido aqui!! Estoy que enloquezco jajajaja. En fin estoy a 40 horas de llegar a Sydney asi que eso me hace muy feliz. Conoci el aeropuerto de Lima es ESPECTACULAR, diria que hasta ahora el mejor de todos!!. FELICITO A LOS PERUANOS. Bueno me despido en dos dias agrego mas!!

Ihave to say that after 15 housr traveling finally i arrived to Buenos Aires, i arrived at 3:30 am (Buenos Aires time) and right now is 5:32 am, the better is that i'm so tired, everything is hurts me and now the planes have a Shit taste to me jajajja. And the worst of everything is that i have to stay here in Buenos Aires until 11 pm (20 hours i will be here!!!). i'm going to be crazy!! jajaj.
Anyway, i'm only for 40 hours to arrive to Sydney so taht make me feel very happy. I knew the Airport of lima it's AMAZING, i have to said the Better airport of all that i knew now!!. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PERUVIANS. Well i have to say see ya an in two day i all add more.

Hola de nuevo.

Bueno, hoy escribo para contarles que a partir del lunes mi viaje es un hecho!, y como ya han podido ver (o pueden ver), mi contador dice que son menos de 12 dias que me quedan para mi viaje, efectivamente me voy el 14 de diciembre a realizar mi sueño, voy a conocer SYDNEY, allí pasaré navidad año nuevo.

Como pueden ver en mi perfil yo soy de la ciudad de Bucaramanga, Colombia (mejor conocida como la ciudad bonita de Colombia), y mi viaje lo realizare desde esta ciudad, pasando por Bogotá (para coger el vuelo internacional), luego una escala en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, y por ultimo llegando el dia 17 de diciembre a la ciudad de SYDNEY (16 de diciembre para latinoamerica). En un vuelo de 27 horas.

Proximamente conoceran mas acerca de mi partida de Colombia y mi llegada a Sydney, Australia.

A UN PASO DE LOGRAR MI SUEÑO (A STEP TO MAKES MY DREAM!)

Desde junio de 2006, empecé a buscar la forma de hacer realidad mi sueño.

Fue así, como en Julio de 2006, comencé a buscar una beca para estudiar un master en Ingeniería Mecánica en la Universidad de Sydney. Durante los dos meses siguientes desarrollé pruebas y realicé entrevistas vía messenger con las directivas de la Facultad de Ingeniería Mecánica de dicha universidad.

A principios de octubre, me comunicaron que debía ir hasta allá para realizar unas pruebas en persona para así lograr ganarme la beca.

A mediados de octubre, comuniqué a mis padres la noticia, la cual la tomaron bien excepto en lo monetario, ante lo cual mi hermano se ofreció a pagarme el viaje.

El 26 de octubre envié todos los papeles necesarios para lograr la visa de turismo (pues necesito regresar a Colombia para terminar mi último semestre de universidad). Los documentos los envié a la embajada de Australia a cargo de Colombia que queda en Santiago de chile; éstos demoraron en regresar a mi poder más de lo esperado, por consiguiente, ya me había desilusionado de mi viaje.

A mediados de noviembre, recibí los documentos con la agradable sorpresa de que me aprobaron la visa. Ya con visa en mano me queda es pagar los pasajes (que son un poco costosos).

Lo único que les puedo adelantar es que mi viaje lo voy a realizar en diciembre. Entre el 15 y el 27 estaré saliendo de mi Colombia querida y regresaré el 28 de enero del próximo año. Estén pendientes que próximamente agregaré más artículos para que se enteren de mis vivencias en Sydney.

Since June of 2006, I began to find the way to make my dream a reality.

And in July of 2006, I began to find a scholarship to study a Master in mechanical engineering at the University of Sydney; during the next two months I was doing tests and some interviews by Messenger with the directors of the mechanical engineering faculty of that university.

In the first days of October they sent to me a setter and they said to me that I have to go there (Sydney) to do some tests to get the scholarship.

In the middle of October I tell to my parents the news, they take the news really well except for the monetary thing, but my brother offered to me to pay the trip.

On October 26th I sent all the necessary documents to get the tourist visa (because I need to come back to Colombia to end my last university semester). I sent the documents to the Australian embassy where the Colombian people can get the visa and the embassy is in Santiago, Chile, and the documents where there too long time so I thought that I can’t get the visa.

But in the middle of November finally the visa arrived to my home and when I look the passport I had the nice surprise that they approved to me the visa. Now with the visa in my hands, only left pay the air tickets (the air tickets are a bit expensive)

I only can to say I that I’m going to do the trip in December, between December 15th – 27th I will be leaving my dear Colombia and I will back on January 28th of the next year. Be pending, soon I will be doing more articles about my trip and my experiences in Sydney.

Desconozco la razón por la cual, desde que tengo memoria, he soñado con ir a Sydney, Australia y vivir allí.

Suena algo descabellado pero es la verdad, toda la vida he soñado con vivir en esa hermosa ciudad australiana, y es así que desde los 5 años me interesé por aprender inglés para poder lograr esa gran meta.

Pero, ¿por qué me gusta Sydney? Basta con ver las imágenes de año nuevo, el CBD, la ciudad en general. Pero lo más importante lo que me dicen las personas que han ido: que es una ciudad que no tiene nada malo, gente amable, una ciudad organizada y bonita.

I don't know what is the reason by the way since i have memory i have dreamed with go to Sydney, Australia and live there.

Sound a bit absurd but is the true, all the life i have dremed with live in that beautiful Australian city, and it's since I was five years old i was interested to learn english to be able to make that big goal.

But, Why i like Sydney?, is enough to watch the pics of the new year celebration, the CBD and the city. But the most important is the things that the people that visited taht city said to me, they said that Sydney is a city without bad things, nice people, and organising city and beautiful.
